Nominations Now Open for 2021 HighSchoolOT Honors

HSOT HonorsHighSchoolOT Honors will return this school year, handing out awards to players, coaches, teams, and school in many different categories. The nomination process opened on Monday.

Each year, HighSchoolOT accepts nominations from the public for players of the year in sanctioned sports, nominations for best games and performances, spirit awards, and elite awards — such as the Athletes & Coaches of the Year and the Stuart Scott Courage Award.

Due to COVID-19, HighSchoolOT Honors will look a bit different this year though.

Nominations will run through May 31 at noon.

Once all nominations are received, our committee will sit down and review each nomination and select the finalists for each category. The public will then vote on the finalists. Voting will begin on June 7 and run through noon on June 28 — the day after the final NCHSAA state championship event of the school year.

Members of the public can vote once per day in each category.

Due to COVID-19 and restrictions on large gatherings, the 5th Annual HighSchoolOT Honors will be a virtual event again this year. HighSchoolOT will produce and live stream an awards show in July where winners will be named in each category.
