Today, Friday, December 11, 2020, WRAL-TV will celebrate the “Day of Giving” to focus on the station’s 32nd Annual Coats for the Children Campaign. The day will include a one-hour special on WRAL at 1pm and a half-hour special at 7pm.
Donations made by Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, will be matched up to $75,000 by a generous anonymous donor.
WRAL-TV traditional runs a day long Coats telethon on the second Friday in December but challenges due to COVID have made the usual phone bank impossible to execute safely. So, the station will hold a “Day of Giving” to high the Coats campaign instead. 2020 has brought many changes. One thing that has not changed is the need to keep children in our community warm this winter.
During this Day of Giving, viewers are encouraged to contribute to help keep Triangle children in need warm this winter:
- Donate new or gently used coats, hats, scarves or gloves at a neighborhood Jiffy Lube
- Donate online at wral.com search COATS
- Donate by texting COATS to 41444
Proceeds help the Salvation Army support area families in need.
The WRAL-TV Coats for the Children Campaign runs now through December 31.
Giving a little can help a lot!
