Since the Durham Bulls unveiled the winning design for the t-shirt to support the United Way in late March, the orders have been rolling in. So far over 1,000 “Wash Your Horns” shirts have been sold, with over $16,000 raised for the Triangle community. All proceeds go to the United Way’s Rapid Response Fund.
The first few hundred orders have now been shipped, and the Bulls have begun seeing fans post their shirts on social media with #WashYourHorns. Orders have come in from 25 different states.
“The Bulls have been thrilled at the response from our fans to this great program,” said DBBC Marketing/Communications Director Ben Devore. “The United Way’s Rapid Response fund is helping to address a number of issues in the community, from food shortages to rent relief. We’re proud to be able to use our platform to drive much needed support for our community.”
The Bulls allowed fans to vote among four designs for the fundraising shirts. The winning shirt is now on sale through the ballpark’s online store.
The shirts will stay on the site for purchase during the next 3-4 weeks.
