The Durham Bulls are finding creative ways to support Triangle residents during the COVID-19 crisis. The Bulls will soon be selling a brand new t-shirt with all proceeds benefitting the United Way’s Rapid Response Fund.
“We’re really excited about the t-shirt initiative to help support United Way,” said DBBC Director of Marketing and Communications Ben Devore. “Over the last couple of weeks, members of the Bulls staff have been brainstorming ways to support our local community as well as create engaging content while our fans are waiting for baseball to return. We’ve been paying close attention to what a lot of other groups and organizations have been doing in response to this crazy situation and we noticed that a lot of people were excited about the opportunity to support local businesses via online shopping. We’re hoping to tap into that excitement to support an organization that distributes funds and aid to a number of community groups in need.”
The Bulls talented designer Paxton Rembis put together the design options.
“The designs aimed to cover themes like baseball, health and community support,” explained Devore. “Ultimately, we had such great options to choose from, we decided to let our fans vote on which one should win.”
The voting closed over the weekend, so stay tuned for the announcement about the winning shirt soon. After the official announcement, the winning design shirts will be available for pre-order on the Durham Bulls online store.
