The WRAL.com Voters’ Choice Awards honor the favorite people, businesses and services in the Triangle and beyond in NC, but now the awards program has been honored itself. The 11th Annual Second Street Awards awarded the WRAL.com Voters’ Choice Awards in the Best Citywide Ballot category. WRAL Digital won this national award in the highly competitive category on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.
“It’s a huge honor for us,” said NMG Marketing Director Laura Worthington. “The platform that WRAL Digital uses for promotions is named Second Street. They work with media companies across the country. The 11th Annual Second Street Awards recognize the best promotions across their partner network. We were finalists in other categories for the Go Ask Mom Cutest Baby Photo Contest and HighSchoolOT Honors. We won ‘Best Citywide Ballot’ vs. some stiff competition!”
As Worthington mentioned, WRAL-TV was also among the finalists is several other categories:
- Best List Builder Campaign – Finalist: Go Ask Mom Cutest Baby Photo Contest
- Best Niche Ballot – Finalist: HighSchoolOT Honors
- Best Email Program – Finalist: WRAL.com
“This was our fifth year running the ballot on WRAL.com and hosting an event, and we’ve just seen our numbers continue to grow,” said Worthington. “Working with Second Street to learn best practices really helped us hone our sales strategy. That is what propelled Voters’ Choice to new heights this year.”
The 11th Annual Second Streets Awards recognized winners and finalists in 27 categories among the 4,000 Second Street media partners.
