That Station Uses One-Day Billboard To Welcome Paul McCartney

That Station Billboard

That Station created a billboard in honor of the upcoming Paul McCartney concert in Raleigh.

The Triangle is bracing for the British Invasion as Paul McCartney will be in concert at the PNC Arena next Monday, May 27, 2019.  So CBC Vice President of Radio Brian Maloney and WRAL-FM/That Station Promotions Director Jason Newton put their American heads together for a fun way to promote the arrival of rock royalty.

As That Station promoted the concert with a ‘word of day’ contest to win tickets the week before the big show, the dynamic duo came up with a fun idea for a one-day billboard.

“Sir Paul is obviously a big deal, and we have a great opportunity to let everyone know about That Station!” explained Newton, who created the design.

Newton credits Maloney with coming up with the idea.  The billboard appeared off Hwy 64 heading into Raleigh on Tuesday, May 21.

The Sir Paul mania will continue on the day of the Memorial Day concert.  That Station will be on-site at the PNC Arena playing two hours of Beatles music before the show.  Tune in to That Station on your radio dial or the app to rock with Beatles runes from 6-8pm that evening.

Thanks to WRAL-FM’s Jason Newton for this capcom photo.
