The towers at both the WRAL-TV studios and American Tobacco Campus are now aglow for the holidays. On Friday, December 1, 2017, Capitol Broadcasting celebrated the start of the season with special ceremonies at both locations.
WRAL-TV Tower Lighting During Evening Newscast
For the 59th year, WRAL-TV lit the 300-foot television tower during the WRAL News at 6pm. The festivities began during the 5:30pm newscast, with special cut-ins from out from of the studio. WRAL-TV Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel enjoyed his favorite type of weather, snow, thanks to Southern Snowman.

American Tobacco Lights Lucky Strike Tower
WRAL-TV Anchor/Reporter Ken Smith emceed the fun at American Tobacco in downtown during. Choirs sang and drummers drummed as the Lucky Strike Tower came to light during the 13th annual celebration.
