It’s obvious a brand new high school football season is about to kick off in the Triangle when you peek into the office of WRAL-TV Director of New Operations, Sports & Special Projects Leesa Moore.
She posted this photo (left) on Social Media, saying:
The current situation in my office … 37th year of Football Friday gets a new logo which means new t-shirts! And yes, I hand folded all 100 shirts. It takes a lot of dedicated folks to pull off 20-25 high school football games for 15 weeks!
The HighSchoolOT Live and Football Friday teams are revving up for the new season which debuts Friday, August 18, 2017. WRAL’s Football Friday will be sporting its brand new logo and HSOT Live will now be seen on TV in addition to its traditional digital platforms.
During the first week of HSOT Live, the studio show will air on WRAL-TV for the first hour of coverage. That inaugural show will air 7pm-8pm. After the first week, the first hour will be televised on WRAL-2.
WRAL-TV Sports Anchor Jeff Gravley will launch the 37th season of Football Friday with the first half-hour show of the season at 11:35pm that same night.
Thanks to WRAL-TV’s Leesa Moore for this capcom photo video.
