Annual Event to be Held at DBAP on August 4
The Durham Bulls and Merge Records have teamed up for the fourth straight year to present the annual Merge Records Night at the DBAP, taking place on August 4. Durham-based independent label Merge will curate Bulls’ at-bat music, as the two Bull City icons will celebrate baseball and music for that night’s 7:05 p.m. contest against the Norfolk Tides.
Prior to the game Merge artists will be featured, as The Mountain Goats frontman and songwriter John Darnielle will throw a ceremonial first pitch, and Nashville-based guitarist William Tyler will perform the National Anthem. For the second year in a row, fans have the ability to purchase a Terrace View ticket and get a limited edition sampler CD of this season’s featured at-bat songs for just $8.99. The ticket/CD combo is available here by entering the promo code MERGE.
