2015 was a huge year for the FOX 50 Lip Dub project! We had a fantastic 5th year!
Cumberland County swept the competition for the 2nd year in a row, a first time entry won 1st runner up, and a school with less than 400 students won the GRAND PRIZE.
We had 22 submissions and over 2 million votes!
Let’s start with the 2nd place runner up which just so happens to be 2014’s GRAND PRIZE WINNER…
Gray’s Creek was determined not to rest on their laurels and brought lots of energy and school spirit to their “Shake it Off” lip dub. I’m sure they made Taylor very proud!
Cape Fear came in as a first time entry and fought their way to 1st runner up while also snagging the Rookie of the Year superlative. Their “Best Day of my Life” lip dub was full of Cult pride and impressive backflips!
There are so many great things to say about Massey Hill. They started planning their 2015 lip dub almost immediately after they won 2nd runner up in the 2014 competition and boy did that planning pay off! Did everyone else feel like they were watching old school MTV with this homage?
Massey Hill is the perfect example of getting an entire community involved. The anti-bullying message that is seen throughout their lip dub is inspiring and admirable. Best choreography and best camera work are only a couple of the superlatives that Massey took home this year on top of the grand prize!
This year we had 2 new awards given for best teamwork and most creative lip dub.
Douglas Byrd received $500 from the Army for best teamwork while Apex High got $1000 from Crabtree Valley Mall for being the most creative.
