CBC Sports Radio Talkers Team Up with Former ACC’ers for 3-Point Contest

Adam Gold & Cherokee Parks

The big winners: 99.9 The Fan’s Adam Gold (left) & his Duke teammate Cherokee Parks win the Big 3-Point Challenge check for their charity, Duke Children’s Hospital.

In conjunction with Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s current Big3Challenge campaign, which is a 3-point contest and twitter voting contest between Duke, UNC and NCSU, the CBC sports radio guys had their own little competition.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, the CBC sports radio guys held their own 3-point competition at Duke’s Cameron Indoor Stadium. They each represented a school and the winning school’s charity of choice won a $1,000 from The Fan.

99.9 The Fan’s Adam Gold represented Duke, 99.9 The Fan’s Joe Ovies represented NCSU and 620 The Buzz’ Mike Maniscalco represented UNC. They each had a celebrity player alongside them. For Duke it was Cherokee Parks, for NCSU it was Jennifer Wolgemuth and for UNC it was Ivory Latta.

The guys had a ton of fun and after the 3-point shot contest, Duke came out on top. Duke Children’s Hospital is the charity chosen for Duke and that is who received the money.

Thanks to 99.9 The Fan’s Luanne Lane for this capcom story & for these capcom photos.
