Capitol Broadcasting Company’s MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM has announced that Katie Phillips will take over the helm when Vice-President and General Manager Ardie Gregory retires in February.
“I am happy for both Katie and the entire MIX staff. She has proven herself to be smart, fair and dedicated to the success of the radio station and all of its employees,” stated Ardie Gregory. “The decision to hire Katie as the General Manager has 100 percent of my support. I look forward to following her successes.”
“Capitol Broadcasting Company’s culture of integrity, innovation and service has inspired me since my first day with the company over 15 years ago. As General Manager of WRAL-FM, my aim will be to build on our strengths with a focus on growing our clients’ business, enriching the lives of our listeners, and serving our community,” says Katie Phillips.
Katie joined Capitol Broadcasting in June 1999 as a sales assistant for the North Carolina News Network / Capitol AgriBusiness. She moved to WRAL-FM in 2002 as an Account Executive and has worked as Local Sales Manager since 2008.
“In working alongside Katie over the past couple of years, I have been impressed with her intelligence and people skills. Her quiet intensity and enthusiasm have proven contagious,” said James F. Goodmon, Jr., CBC New Media Vice President and General Manager.
