Fletcher Volunteer Awards Endowment |
The City of Raleigh has established the Fletcher Volunteer Awards Endowment to honor those individuals who give of their time to benefit the community in which they live. This volunteer awards program represents Raleigh’s gratitude by recognizing the “best of the best.”
The award is in honor of Fred Fletcher, one of the senior members of the Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board, who has personally exemplified outstanding volunteer services for over 50 years.
The Award will honor individuals, groups, organizations and corporations who have made significant contributions to Raleigh Parks and Recreation. Symbolic of the services donated by all the volunteers, this will come to represent a coveted and prestigious award, inspiring additional volunteers to become involved in their community.
