Rocky Mount Mills to Receive Triangle Business Journal 2020 SPACE Award

Rocky Mount Mills SPACE AwardThe Triangle Business Journal recently announced the winners of their 2020 SPACE Awards, and Rocky Mount Mills made the list.  Rocky Mount Mills will be receiving a TBJ SPACE Award in the Mixed-Use Development category.  RMM will receive the honor at a presentation on March 12, 2020, at the FNB Tower in downtown Raleigh.

RMM enthusiastically shared the news:

We are thrilled to announce we’ve been chosen for a Triangle Business Journal SPACE Award in the Mixed-Use Development category!

For two centuries Rocky Mount Mills, the state’s second-oldest cotton mill located along the Tar River in Rocky Mount, has been a symbol of resilience. It was burned by Union troops, rebuilt, burned again, rebuilt again and then closed in the mid-1990s when the textile industry collapsed. Now a mixed-use development, we pride ourselves on honoring the past, and innovating for our future. Thank you for this coveted award, we are so proud to be in Rocky Mount, North Carolina!
