CBC Salutes Women of Bulls & Salamanders on National Girls & Women in Sports Day

In honor of National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, CBC salutes the women of the Durham Bulls and the Holly Springs Salamanders!

The Women’s Sports Foundation powers the NGWSD. This annual day of observance serves to “acknowledge the accomplishments of female athletes, recognize the influence of sports participation for women and girls and honor the progress and continuing struggle for equality for women in sports.”

The theme for NGWSD, “Lead Her Forward,” honors the “numerous ways that sports push girls and women to achieve excellence and realize their potential.”

To the women in Minor League baseball, including the women at the Durham Bulls and Holly Springs Salamanders, we salute you!
