Rocky Mount Mills Lights Water Tower for Holidays for First Time

Rocky Mount Mills Tower Lighting

Rocky Mount Mills lit the water tower for the holidays for the first time with a special event on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Saturday, December 1, 2018, was such a special first of what will be a new annual tradition for Rocky Mount Mills! Rocky Mount Mills kicked off the Holiday season with WRAL TV’s Gerald Owens on Saturday at RMM’s first Tower Lighting. The magical night featured performances of talented youth by the Englewood Elementary Glee Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region; horse carriage rides; cookie decorating with Winde Jackson Cakes and special visits with Santa and Mrs. Clause throughout campus!

The weather was rainy but RMM moved the event inside so attendees could enjoy the program that was followed by the tower lighting where people enjoyed the lighting through the windows or stood outside under umbrellas. 1,500 people from across Nash and Edgecombe counties to include the Triangle came out and experience and celebrate the magical night!

Thanks to RMM’s Julie Baggett for this capcom story & to Baggett & RMM’s Evan Covington Chavez for these capcom photos.
