On Thursday, February 9, 2017, Rocky Mount Mills welcomed leadership from Nash Community College as they took the next step in welcoming students in their 360 Degree Brewer Program to The Brewmill on Rocky Mount Mills campus.

Students in the Associates of Applied Sciences – Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation Program will finish up their degrees by creating brews in a special single barrel brewing facility at the heart of the historic mill campus.

“It is a huge step forward that our program can now operate alongside active breweries in the heart of Eastern North Carolina’s brewing industry at Rocky Mount Mills,” says Dr. Trent Mohrbutter, vice president of instruction and chief academic officer, Nash Community College. “Students will be able to learn from experts, business owners and even the public on how to approach a career in the burgeoning craft brewing industry.

We are excited to transfer the keys to Dr. Bill Carver and NCC’s team as they begin to craft their story at Rocky Mount Mills.

Thanks to RMM’s Julie Baggett for this capcom story & for these capcom photos.
